Tailorbuilder is a system for providing individual education in a customised, interactive manner, geared towards the knowledge gaps and needs of the person being trained. One of the implementation areas for this product is the health care sector.

The TailorBuilder is a web-based application which may be used to create and conduct web-based questionnaires and design and implement tailor-made programs. The TailorBuilder consists of two parts.

A development environment in which a questionnaire may be created, and an environment in which people may participate in this questionnaire.   At the time the user logs onto the system, the program determines whether or not the user is a "developer" or a person who will be completing the questionnaire.  

Because the TailorBuilder is web-based and not Windows-based, it is possible to work with the TailorBuilder on any computer with an Internet connection.  This also means that the TailorBuilder does not have to be installed on the user's computer. The TailorBuilder may be started by going to a certain website (for example,  www.tailorbuilder.com) and then logging in with a user name and password. If the logged-in user is a developer, he or she may start developing a questionnaire. If the user is someone who will be completing a questionnaire, the questionnaire will automatically be started which has been assigned to that particular person.
